AZ state route 473, the highway into Hawley Lake, is closed for winter. Arizona state route 273, the highway from the Sunrise Ski Area to Big Lake is closed for winter. A valid White Mountain Apache Tribal Permit is required for outdoor recreation activities on the Fort Apache Indian Reservation. Permits may be purchased from licensed permit vendor or online at www.wmatoutdoors.org. Firework possession and use is prohibited.
