White Mountain Apache Tribe WILDLIFE & OUTDOOR RECREATION DIVISION
TROPHY ELK HUNT - GUEST POLICY
It is our practice to provide hunting clients the opportunity to bring a Guest on their hunt. Depending on the type of hunt and the camp from which the hunt is based, Guest reservations are available on a limited basis and are reserved on a first-come-first-served basis.
v Guest reservations require full payment of applicable fees in advance of the scheduled hunt.
v Guest fees are non-refundable and are subject to change each year.
v If for any reason a Guest reservation is cancelled, applicable guest fees may not be applied toward a subsequent hunt fee.
Guest Fees, unless otherwise specified:
v Entitle the Guest to all hunt accommodations (standard lodging, meals, etc.) and, if available, complimentary recreational activities (i.e., fishing, hiking, etc) during their stay.
v Entitle the Guest to accompany the hunting client and hunt guide in the field.
v Allow the Guest to purchase any available hunting tags for select game ( i.e., management elk, bear, etc.), based on availability and applicable regulations.
Guest Guidelines & Restrictions:
v Hunting clients are limited to one (1) Guest/hunt. Hunting clients are solely responsible for the conduct and activity of their Guests during their stay.
v Guests will not be permitted to serve as guide in lieu of a W&ORD-assigned guide. W&ORD reserves the right to rescind privileges and reservations of any Guest whose behavior and/or actions are deemed to be inappropriate or that interfere with any W&ORD hunt or camp operation.
v Guests are subject to all applicable tribal regulations and are not permitted to take game without appropriate authorization or permits.
v Guests of hunters may not perform pre-hunt scouting activities. Hunting clients, however, wishing to accompany their assigned guide during preseason scouting, may do so at the sole discretion of W&ORD.
Ø Any such preseason scouting requires advance request to, and approval from W&ORD. Arrangements must also be made directly with the guide, who can notify W&ORD on the client’s behalf.
v Guests must be accompanied at all times by W&ORD personnel during any field related excursions (hunting, fishing, etc.) while on the reservation, unless prior arrangements have been made with an authorized W&ORD representative (i.e. Camp Boss, Guide, etc.).
v Hunting Clients and their Guests are permitted to video field activities for personal use only. Commercial use of any hunting or field footage is strictly prohibited without prior written approval from the Tribal Council of the White Mountain Apache Tribe.
