The majority of the Javelina on the Reservation are located on the far west end. Locating these grey ghosts of the Southwest is most often the hardest part of the hunt. Javelina in the area are scattered over a very wide area of the Reservation. Season dates normally run from mid-January through mid February. All these hunts are self guided. Permits are issued on a first-come first-serve basis beginning the first week in December.
